Flame-Retardant Nylon for Connectors & Power Distribution

Flame-retardant nylons are the backbone of electrical connection hardware — connectors, cable management, circuit breakers, contactors, and busbar supports. As data centers scale, demand has shifted toward halogen-free flame retardance and high-temperature grades that survive lead-free reflow soldering. Florida Performance Polymers distributes PA6 and PA66 engineering nylon — including Polyram Plustek® — and sources flame-retardant, halogen-free, and high-temperature polyamide grades to match, from samples to full-container loads. We match each grade to the standards your part must meet, including:

  • UL94 V-0 flame rating, down to thin wall

  • High CTI (up to CTI 600) for creepage at rising voltages

  • Glow-wire compliance (GWFI / GWIT)

  • Halogen-free (HFFR) grades for IEC and electronics specs
