Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is the workhorse high-temperature engineering thermoplastic for under-the-hood automotive parts, electrical components, and chemical-processing equipment. It offers inherent flame resistance, excellent chemical resistance, and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures — holding tolerance where lesser polymers soften or swell. Florida Performance Polymers stocks PPS from sample quantities to full-container loads, in a range of grades, including:

  • 40% glass-filled PPS — automotive under-the-hood and electrical connectors

  • 65% glass + mineral-filled PPS — structural automotive parts and pump housings

  • Unfilled PPS — coating and fiber applications

  • High-flow PPS — thin-wall electrical connectors

  • Conductive (carbon-filled) PPS — EMI shielding and ESD-sensitive housings
